publié le , mis à jour le

The Summer School duration is 5 days (from Tuesday July 4th to Saturday July 8th) including 4 full days and a final morning session on Saturday. Activities include lectures / conferences, participant presentations, reading sessions and group project exercises.

The first day opens with a welcoming and icebreaker session including the presentation of the Summer School program.

During the first 4 days, mornings mainly consist in lectures given by members of the faculty around daily topics :

  • Day 1 : Overview and modelling issues with NDCs assessment
  • Day 2 : Modelling energy transformation pathways
  • Day 3 : Social and economic implications of low carbon pathways
  • Day 4 : Articulation between national and global scales

During afternoons, participants will present a version of their research work (around 30 minutes for each presentation) and will receive feedback from fellow students and faculty members.

Other scheduled activities include a group project exercise with restitution during final day, possible reading sessions, a videoconference by an international leader in the field and a closing conference.

A social dinner will be organized on Day 2.

The faculty of the Summer School will be composed of CIRED researchers and several international leaders in energy, CGE, integrated assessment modelling and climate policy. The final composition of the faculty will be confirmed soon.
